I was reading an article while I was on Forbes that pointed out something wild about how everyone really weren't paying attention during the launch of the iPhone 5. It seems although the iPhone 5 is one of the worlds most wanted devices ever the people let their thirst distract them the true power of Apple. Apple's wealth, power and resources is something we all can sort of understand just from the hype behind every device they have ever released since the original iPhone in 2006. Some may have known just from how often they see a rise in their stock they have with Apple, just because they got hip way back when when they found the bandwagon by the trails of money it was leaving. But Apple sort of kind cleared the record for it all in 13 different ways:
- 83M retail store visitors from April to June
- 435M iTunes accounts with 1-touch purchasing set up
- 91% of traffic from tablets comes from iPad
- 400M iOS devices sold
- 17M iPads sold from April through June
- 68% market share for tablets
- 700K apps in the App Store
- 7M upgrades to the Mountain Lion operating system
- iOS 6 has over 200 new features
- iTunes has 26M songs
- 20B songs purchased
- 200M customers of iTunes in the cloud
- 15B downloads from iCloud
So now just go look up the price for each sale do the math and their you go. Have fun!
