Why G.O.O.D. Music's Album Will Be Epic!

First off I know I'm not the only one who can't wait for this G.O.O.D. Music album to drop this Spring, everything it stands for will be dope and I haven't even heard one word from it yet. Which brings me to this post, how/why the G.O.O.D. Music album will be so epic?

If you look back at hip-hop with in the past few years there hasn't really been that many albums put out featuring the entire label. The only two that come to mind, those worth mentioning that is, is Young Money and The Maybach Music Group's albums.Now Maybach Music shouldn't really take as much heat as Young Money because those are two different types of power houses (Lil Wayne has way more fans than Rick Ross). 'Self Made', Maybach Music Group's label album, only sold 55k copies during the first week and that's a combined effort of Rick Ross, Meek Mills, and Wale. Wale then turned around (After getting some buzz thanks to Rick Ross) and pulled off 160k for the first week of his solo album 'Ambition'. On the other hand, Young Money's 'We Are Young Money' sold 142k their first week. Similar to Wale, Drake a few months after 'We Are A Young Money' did 470k his first solo album, 'Thank Me Later'

Now me personally I love numbers just because that's all we have as facts for music, but its a little different when it comes to group albums. Its a very low percentile of fans out there who actually say that they like an entire label and there is nothing wrong with that (there will always be an ugly person out of the group). For example, if Jay-Z and Lil B decided to do a joint album; one, Jay-Z must be on the strongest drug known to man; two, I would say most likely 7% (random) of Jay-Z's fans would go buy it. Which is how Drake and Wale can out sell their entire label by themselves.

Meanwhile, over in G.O.O.D. Music land. G.O.O.D Music's label is really what they go by, Good Music. Every artist under Kanye has a track record of their own (Some even speak for themselves), and the even the few new comers has flow and the drive to be up to par with the whole crew. The funny thing with G.O.O.D. Music is that everything I've said up until now doesn't really apply to them because they Kanye West co-signing on everything they do. Ever since Kanye has came out everything he gets his hands on turns  to gold, platinum, and what ever else Kanye can think of. West is the man not just with the flow but his production skills are second to none. With that being said to please Kanye West enough to for him to agree on you joining his label you have to be dope. Then for Kanye to approve of your verse to put on an album with his name on it you have to be Epic.....just like the album will be.
