Senior Citizens and Technology

With the advancement of technology several companies are producing new products designed for senior citizens, such as a pendant worn around the neck that will dispense their medication and reminds them when to take their medicine or advances to help with their sight and Hearing.

Another product will monitor their daily living activities and can even turn off a stove if left unattended for a period of time. Another device can check their blood pressure, sugar levels and heart rate, and sends the information to medical personnel to check for any problems. It can also call for help if the senior citizen falls or has a problem.

The Internet is becoming senior citizen friendly. More web sites are using larger print, clearer print, altering colors, and adding ways to turn off animation as well as sharing hearing aid prices.

All of these new products are aimed at helping the senior citizens to stay in their home longer instead of going to live in a nursing home.

Rugs

Nothing against carpets but sometimes rugs seem just better. But not really for the spacing and material more towards interior design dealing with room coordination or effects of the surrounding. Its just something about rugs that boost a rooms positive environmental level . Especially when on the wooden or tile floors, you'll realize it the next time you step out shower. Or if you just got it from a rainy day and got the welcome rug to wipe off your shoes.

Nevertheless when talking about rugs you can't forget to mention the beautiful and unique ones. Which always reminds me of persian rugs, due to the fact that their style is like no other. All-in-all the little things in life can really effect you, and in funny way you could use rugs as an example.
